Cookie policy
Plain list of what the site stores on your device and why.
Our approach
We use essential storage to make the site work. We use analytics only if you accept it in the banner. We do not use advertising, remarketing or social media tracking. If the banner does not appear, analytics is switched off.
What we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
sk0ut_consent_v1 (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choice | Essential | 6 months |
Sign-in session (local storage, name starts sk0ut- or sb-) | Keeps customers and staff signed in. Only set when you sign in. | Essential | Until you sign out |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Checks a form is filled in by a person. May set a short-lived cookie or storage item. [Confirm against Cloudflare's current documentation.] | Essential (security) | Session |
| [Analytics provider] | Counts visits and pages viewed so we can improve the site. [Say whether it uses cookies; Plausible, GoatCounter and Cloudflare Web Analytics are designed to work without them.] | Analytics (needs your OK) | [period] |
Fonts and scripts from other services
To display the site we load fonts from Google Fonts and an animation library from cdnjs. When your browser fetches these, the provider receives your IP address. [Option: self-host the fonts and library to avoid this.]
Your choices
Change your cookie choice at any time. You can also block or delete storage in your browser settings, but sign-in and forms may stop working. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a rejection of analytics. Sign-in, account and staff pages never run analytics.
The law
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) require your consent for non-essential storage, with limited exceptions. UK law has been updated by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 to allow some low-risk statistical analytics without consent, with clear information and a simple way to object. We ask for consent for all analytics until our adviser confirms we can rely on that exception. [Review at launch.]
