For builders, kitchen, window and solar firms
Hear about the job before they hire anyone.
We read the new planning applications that councils publish each week, sort them by type, and score each one for your trade. You get a short list of the ones worth a phone call, as often as your plan says.
How it works
- We collect
New applications from the weekly lists councils publish. We started with Bridgend and are adding councils across South Wales, then the rest of the UK.
- We sort and score
Each application is tagged (extension, loft, new build, HMO, solar and more) and scored for your trade. Builders see projects with no architect or contractor named yet; kitchen fitters see extensions and conversions; window firms see new openings and glazing; solar firms see roofs and new builds.
- You get the shortlist
An email with the best matches, a plain-English summary, a rough value and a link to the council record. Sign in to see the same leads on a map and mark what happened with one tap.
Built for local trades
Each trade gets its own scoring. A new extension is a hot lead for a kitchen fitter; a solar array is not.
- Builders and extension specialists
- Kitchen fitters
- Window and door installers
- Solar and battery installers
- Loft and conservatory firms
- Electricians, plumbers, carpenters, decorators and plasterers

Questions
What does sk0ut mean?
Say it like "scout". We scout the councils' public planning lists every week so local trades don't have to.
Where does the data come from?
Public planning registers published by each council. We organise and score it; we have no access to anything private.
How accurate is the project value?
It's a rough guide based on the type and size of the work, not a quote. Use it to decide which calls to make first.
Does an application mean they will hire someone?
Not always. Some applicants already have a builder or architect. That is why we show who is named on the application and score leads accordingly.
Do you give out homeowners' names?
No. We do not store applicant or agent names. Leads show the site address, the work proposed and a link to the council's own page.
How fresh are the leads?
Councils publish each week's list after it closes, so leads usually reach you one to three weeks after an application is registered. That is early in a project: most still need a builder and fittings months later.
How do I sign in?
With your email address. We send a one-time link or code, so there is no password to remember. Accounts are created when you subscribe.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time, from your account page. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
